Paddle8 selects galleries based on the rigor of their program, critical and institutional engagement, international presence and the highest standards of business. Galleries may show works in monthly exhibitions as invited by Paddle8’s guest curators or present works independently under their own name on Paddle8’s site.

Members whose purchase offers have been accepted by the gallery will have the option of having the work shipped by common carrier, fine art shipper, or can make arrangements on their own.

1. SUBMIT AN OFFER: A member can submit an offer by clicking the "Acquire" link next to a selected artwork. All offer submissions require credit card authorizations, as an offer is a binding commitment to purchase the work if it is accepted. Once the offer is submitted it is valid for 72 hours. All offers are legally binding commitments to purchase the artwork.

2. GALLERY RESPONDS: During the 72 hour period, a gallery may accept or reject the offer or submit a counteroffer. The counteroffer will void the member's original offer and restart the 72 hour deadline during which time the member may accept or reject the counteroffer.

3. OFFER ACCEPTED AND PAYMENT IS MADE: Should the gallery accept a member's offer or member accept the gallery's counteroffer, payment of the purchase price, charges for any additional services, and any applicable taxes will be due within seven calendar days of Paddle8's notification to the member confirming the acceptance of the offer.

4. THE WORK SHIPS: Once a member's payment has been received, Paddle8 will notify the gallery and the shipping partner to organize the collection of the property. Should the collector opt to make their own shipping arrangements, Paddle8 will notify the member when the artwork is available for collection.

5. FOLLOW-UP INQUIRIES: A member should contact the gallery and/or shipping partner directly with any follow-up inquiries about the release, collection, or delivery of the artwork.
